On Sunday, 23 November, the City of Chemnitz Cemetery and Funeral Service will once again be inviting interested parties to guided tours of the crematorium at Chemnitz Municipal Cemetery, Wartburgstraße 47, to mark the Sunday of the Dead. There will be guided tours at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
The tours will take you through both the farewell rooms and the municipal crematorium itself, including a visit to the furnace house. The meeting point is in the gatehouse area to the left of the crematorium's ceremonial hall.
There will also be an organ concert on the Jehmlich organ with organist Marko Koschwitz in the crematorium's ceremonial hall from 13:00 to 13:45.
Participation in all events is free of charge and possible without registration.
