Organiser wanted
For the summer holidays from 4 July to 16 August 2026, the Youth Welfare Office is once again putting together interesting and varied offers in the Chemnitz holiday calendar.
Organisers are now invited to submit their holiday offers for children and young people (aged 6 to 16) for this year's summer holiday calendar. The offers can also be entered in the calendar of the Chemnitz family app. Inclusion in the holiday calendar is free of charge for the organisers. The editorial deadline for the print edition is 16 April 2026.
Only age-appropriate events and activities that appeal to the whole family will be included. The offers should preferably be free, inexpensive or discounted for holders of the holiday calendar, for example through vouchers.
With the compilation of daily events, multi-day offers such as camps, courses etc. as well as other leisure tips, the holiday calendar provides a quick overview of what is going on in Chemnitz and the surrounding area during the school holidays. The city has been publishing the holiday calendar since 2006. After taking a break last year as a print edition, it will be published in 2026 with a print run of 4,000 copies; the offers will also be available in the Chemnitz Family App in the "Holiday Calendar" category.
