State election on 1 September 2024
The elections to the 8th Saxon State Parliament took place on 1 September 2024.
The provisions of the Act on Elections to the Saxon State Parliament (Sächsisches Wahlgesetz - SächsWahlG) in the version published on 11 August 2023 (SächsGVBl. p. 598), as amended, and the Ordinance of the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior on the Conduct of Elections to the Saxon State Parliament (Landeswahlordnung - LWO) of 20 April 2023 (SächsGVBl. p. 129), as amended, are decisive for the election.
