Kick-off event for new employees at TU Chemnitz
On 16 April 2026, the Welcome Centre team visited Chemnitz University of Technology to meet new employees and introduce them to the support services on offer. We look forward to supporting the new arrivals as they settle in and integrate in Chemnitz.
Successful event for Ukrainians

On 2 March 2026, the information event "Welcome to stay - residence and prospects for Ukrainians in Chemnitz" took place at Chemnitz Technical City Hall. The participants received detailed information on the options for securing long-term residence in Germany. Due to high demand, the number of places at the fully booked event was increased once again. The video gives you a brief insight into the afternoon of the event. Have fun!

The Welcome Centre at the Chemnitz Job Fair
On 23 October 2025, the Welcome Centre took part in the Jombesse Chemnitz. In the video, a member of staff talks to numerous employers about how to find a suitable job in Germany and what is important to them when applying. Event on the topic of residence for Ukrainians in Chemnitz
In this video, the Welcome Centre takes a look back at the information event for Ukrainians held on 22 August 2025. The focus was on the options for changing residence permits in accordance with Section 24 of the Residence Act. Many questions about residence, the process and the necessary documents were clarified. The event was a complete success for everyone involved.
