The Smart Systems Campus is one of the established transfer and innovation centres for microelectronics and intelligent systems in Saxony. In the direct vicinity of Chemnitz University of Technology and Fraunhofer ENAS, the campus combines research, start-ups and industrial development within a short distance.

With the Hydrogen Campus, a new development and settlement area for hydrogen-based technologies and industrial transformation is being created at the Chemnitz Technology Campus.

A growing innovation environment for research, development, testing, qualification and industrial application along the hydrogen value chain is developing around the Hydrogen Innovation Centre (HIC).

The location combines scientific excellence with available development areas, modern infrastructure and a strong network of industry, research and technology development. Together with the hydrogen technology cluster HZwo e. V., Chemnitz University of Technology and the Fraunhofer Institutes ENAS and IWU, a powerful ecosystem is being created for companies and project partners in the field of hydrogen technologies.

<p>With the Hydrogenium and other development areas, new infrastructure for companies, project teams, international specialists and technology-oriented collaborations is also being created.

The Hydrogen Campus is thus developing into a central location for hydrogen-based industrial and future technologies in Chemnitz and south-west Saxony.

With the Hydrogen Innovation Centre (HIC), a modern research, development and testing infrastructure for hydrogen technologies is being created at the Chemnitz Technology Campus. The HIC combines office, laboratory and workshop space as well as test and outdoor facilities, creating flexible framework conditions for development, testing and collaboration. It is a location of the national Hydrogen Innovation and Technology Centre (ITZ H2).
