State Flood Centre
The State Flood Centre provides information on flood risks in the Free State of Saxony: current water levels, current precipitation, flood warnings.
Danger of forest fires
In cooperation with the German Weather Service, the Saxon forestry authorities provide information on the current forest fire risk in Saxony.
The regionalised forest fire risk levels are calculated daily for the current day and for three subsequent days based on current weather and forecast data.
Information system on risks from natural events
Tenants and homeowners in Saxony can use the Internet to find out how much their building is at risk from flooding. With just a few clicks of the mouse, interested parties can see for each address in Saxony how great the risk of flooding is, as well as for other natural hazards such as heavy rain, storms or lightning.
For "ZÜRS public", data on designated flood areas and from official hazard maps of the Free State of Saxony were combined with information from the German insurance industry on one website and presented in a consumer-friendly format. With the current release, ZÜRS public has been renamed Kompass Naturgefahren.
