Welcome to the Welcome Centre of the City of Chemnitz!
The Welcome Centre is a central point of contact for skilled workers, returnees, graduates and newcomers from Germany and abroad who want to live and work in Chemnitz.
The arrival and settling in in Chemnitz should be made as easy and pleasant as possible. To this end, the Welcome Centre will help you with many matters, such as finding accommodation and a job, dealing with the authorities, searching for language courses and providing information on local childcare and leisure activities.
The Welcome Centre also assists regional employers with questions regarding the integration of international skilled workers.

11th Federal Network Meeting of the Welcome Centres in Magdeburg
The Welcome Center Chemnitz took part in the 11th Federal Network Meeting of Welcome Centres in Magdeburg, where over 200 participants and around 50 Welcome Centres from all over Germany exchanged ideas. The focus was on skilled labour migration, integration and successful welcome structures. Workshops, presentations and personal discussions provided valuable impetus for day-to-day work as well as new ideas for counselling, networking and regional retention of international skilled workers.</p
"Women's and family breakfast" at solaris FZU gGmbH Saxony
A women's and family breakfast was held at the Chemnitz Multigenerational House on 17/04/2026, providing a space for exchange and information. The Welcome Centre Chemnitz presented its advice and support services and held numerous personal discussions. The high level of interest led to the first concrete counselling session afterwards.</p
