Food safety

Consumer complaints
If you discover defects in foodstuffs or consumer goods or in food handling equipment, please contact the seller first. The Food Inspection and Veterinary Office should only be contacted if there is an increase in complaints or if the complaint to the retailer is unsuccessful.
The Food Monitoring and Veterinary Office also accepts consumer complaints about businesses, for example if hygiene deficiencies are found.
Please state your name, address and telephone number with all complaints. Complaint samples are analysed free of charge.
Complaint samples can be handed in at the Food Monitoring and Veterinary Office (contact on the left).
