Review: Completed projects and actions

INTERLACE

The INTERLACE project aims to valorise derelict land through nature-based solutions. The aim is to create new habitats and improve the quality of life for the local population. More vegetation and water features are intended to counteract overheating on hot summer days.

Chemnitz is blossoming

After two years of research, networking, information exchange, development, counselling and education, the project was successfully completed. Sustainable flowering areas were realised and further developed during the project period.

BUGG Forum

Together with the Bundesverband GebäudeGrün e. V., the City of Chemnitz hosted the Green Roof Forum in Hall G of the Wirkbau in Chemnitz on 21 September 2023. This was an opportunity to find out about options for designing and implementing green roofs, actively engage with the topic and learn about possible climate adaptation measures.

Chemnitz turns green

Numerous people in Chemnitz are committed to a variety of urban green spaces. They do this on a voluntary basis, at work or privately in their own gardens, making valuable contributions to a diverse, sustainable and liveable Chemnitz. The magazine "Chemnitz grünt" reports on this.
