The draft budget for the two-year budget 2025/2026 was submitted to the City Council on 13 November 2024 and is available online here.
The objection period for residents and taxpayers expired on 6 December 2024.

In a decision dated 15 June 2023, the State Directorate of Saxony approved the City of Chemnitz's budget bylaws for the 2023/2024 biennial budget with conditions.
