The press office of the City of Chemnitz is the point of contact for media representatives and publishes press releases and the weekly official gazette. The employees are also responsible for the website www.chemnitz.de, the city's channels on the social media platforms Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon, the You Tube channel and the city's publications.

Photographs and films for publication in publications and/or electronic media may only be taken in the town halls and municipal facilities with the permission of the press office. This applies in particular to reporting on committee meetings or events.
