In addition to all kinds of Christmas treats and beautiful gift ideas, traditional Erzgebirge folk art in the form of Raachermannln, candle arches and pyramids can be bought at over 200 stalls around Chemnitz Town Hall every year.

The Chemnitz Christmas Market 2025 ended at 8 pm on 23 December.
In the 26 days that the Chemnitz Christmas market was open, it attracted well over 420,000 visitors. The market was very well attended throughout this year, even despite the mild, double-digit temperatures at times.

This is how it sounds through Chemnitz city centre every year when the mining parade rings in the Christmas season in the Ore Mountains on the eve of the first Advent. Around 1000 people in uniform and mining musicians form an impressive procession through the city centre.
