School planetarium reopens
On Saturday, 28 March, from 5 p.m., the Chemnitz school planetarium will be reopened at the Albert-Schweitzer-Oberschule Chemnitz at Albert-Köhler-Straße 48 in the presence of Jirka Meyer, Head of the Chemnitz City Education Authority. After a break of several months, the planetarium is now back in operation as an extracurricular learning centre and offer for Chemnitz schools.

Josephine Hage becomes Managing Director of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH
At its extraordinary meeting on 25 March, the Supervisory Board of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH unanimously appointed Josephine Hage as the new Managing Director with effect from 1 October 2026. She will thus complement the two existing Managing Directors Andrea Pier and Stefan Schmidtke until the end of the year, after which they will retire from their positions as planned.
