Social services for adults

The social service for adults provides information, advice and support, particularly to ageing citizens of the city of Chemnitz as well as relatives and service providers who specialise in the needs of senior citizens. The services provided by the social service are free of charge, neutral in terms of organisation and individual. The social workers provide advice and support by telephone, by appointment at the social welfare office or, on request, during a home visit.
Even if attentive neighbours/fellow citizens suspect or notice that an elderly person in the neighbourhood needs help and support, the social services staff are available as contacts.
