Open Monument Day

Monument Day 2025 on 14 September
Topic "Valuable-full: priceless or irreplaceable?"

The nationwide Open Monument Day will take place on Sunday, 14 September 2025 under the motto "Valuable: priceless or irreplaceable?".
Once again this year, a number of selected monuments in our city will open their doors to interested visitors.
Cultural monuments deserve to be listed because, among other things, they speak a special architectural language, have historical significance or are of particular public interest. On Open Monument Day, the value of the monument is presented and you can see what treasure the owners are guarding. Craftsmanship and traditional knowledge are values that monument owners, associations, architects and employees of the City of Chemnitz Monument Protection Authority are happy to show and present to you on this day.
The following list includes all events organised by the City of Chemnitz Monument Protection Authority.
Description of the monuments
On the extra page you will find detailed information on the monuments and churches open on Monument Day 2025.
