Sachsen-Allee citizen service centre closes at the end of the year

City council resolution is thus implemented

The Sachsen-Allee Citizens' Service Centre will close at the end of 2025. Due to the public holidays, it will be open for the last time on Tuesday, 23 December 2025 for customers with an appointment.

The Sachsen-Allee Citizens' Service Centre was opened on 31 March 2003 as part of the creation of the Citizens' Registration Office and has since become the most frequented branch of the Registration Office. In its meeting on 12 March of this year, the Chemnitz City Council decided to close the Sachsen-Allee citizen service centre as part of the action plan to reduce the budget deficit. This decision will now be implemented at the end of the year.

In addition to the Bürgerhaus am Wall, the Morgenleite and Rabenstein citizen service centres are now available by appointment to apply for services from the residents' registration office. The citizen service centres in the localities are open on fixed days (without appointments).

All information on opening hours and services can be found at www.chemnitz.de/buergerservicestellen.
