Creative and craft market 2025

The city of Chemnitz is organising a creative and craft market at Chemnitz Neumarkt in 2025.

Selling time:

06.09.2025, Sat 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Participants:

Suppliers with the following products are authorised:

  • Autumn products/typical autumn ranges (ceramics, table decorations, decorative items, table linen, gift items)
  • creative products
  • Handicraft products (decorations, jewellery)
  • Baked goods (if possible with show ovens or other show crafts)
  • confectionery
  • smoked goods
  • cheese
  • Fruit and vegetables, fruit and vegetables (including potatoes, pumpkins)
  • Flowers and plants, flower arrangements, bulb braids
  • Herbs and spices, tea
  • Wood, wool, felt and natural products
  • Wickerwork
  • Unpackaged food, sale of glass jars
  • Paper and stationery, books
  • Clothing (autumn/winter season, children's clothing)
  • Children's attractions (pumpkin carving, potato printing, children's crafts, face painting, children's rides)
  • Snacks and drinks on tap
    thereof:

    • Trolley + outdoor seating
    • Wine sales with tasting and serving

Applications:

Interested parties should send their application for admission to the Chemnitz Creative and Craft Market to the City of Chemnitz, Ordnungsamt - Abt. Polizeirecht, Ordnungsrecht, Märkte, 09106 Chemnitz, using the form linked below, completed by the last working day in July 2025.

A photo of the stand or an assessable design proposal must be submitted with the application for authorisation. The photo should not be laminated.

Only fully completed and signed applications will be considered.

Authorisations:

  1. When granting authorisation, the City of Chemnitz takes into account the market-specific requirements such as
    - the erection of a wooden hut,
    - participants who demonstrate their craft on site and
    - the event-typical decoration of the stand/hut.
  2. The event, the admission of participants and the relevant cost decisions are governed by the
    - Chemnitz Market Statutes and
    - Statutes of the City of Chemnitz on the levying of fees for the use of market areas of the City of Chemnitz
    in the version valid at the time of the event (in this respect, it is strongly recommended to consult the homepage of the City of Chemnitz in good time and repeatedly if necessary).

If the number of eligible and suitable applicants is too low (at least 8) (outside the range of food and drink vendors), the market will not take place.
