New Year's Eve market 2026

The city of Chemnitz is organising a New Year's Eve market on the "Am Wall" market area in 2026.

Selling times:

30.12.2026, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
31.12.2026, 9 - 12 a.m.

Allocation of the stands:

from 7 am

Applications

Interested parties should send their application for admission to the Chemnitz New Year's Eve market, using the form linked below, completed by the last working day in October 2026 to the City of Chemnitz, Legal and Regulatory Office - Police Law, Regulatory Law, Markets Department, 09106 Chemnitz.

Day registrations must be coordinated with the market staff.

Only fully completed and signed applications will be considered.

Authorisations

  1. Admission may be granted for one or both days at the discretion of the organiser.
  2. When authorising a New Year's Eve market stand, the City of Chemnitz shall take into account the market-specific requirements, in particular
    a) the range of goods already available on the market
    b) the principle of "producers before traders"
    c) the chronological order in which applications are received (waiting list).
  3. The event, the admission of participants and the relevant cost decisions are governed by the
    - Chemnitz Market Statutes and
    - Statutes of the City of Chemnitz on the levying of fees for the use of market areas of the City of Chemnitz
    in the version valid at the time of the event (in this respect, it is strongly recommended to consult the website of the City of Chemnitz in good time and repeatedly if necessary).
