Germany's largest international theatre festival
In a year's time, Chemnitz will become a stage for the world of theatre: from 18 June to 5 July 2026, the Saxon metropolis will host the Theater der Welt Chemnitz 2026 festival, one of the most important international festivals for contemporary performing arts. Theatre of the World Chemnitz 2026 brings perspectives from all over the world to a city in transition. It invites you to discover, experience and empathise - barrier-free, multilingual and in the heart of the public space.
