Renovation of the park path at the entrance to the city park completed

Full closure has been lifted

The park path at the entrance to the city park is once again freely accessible to pedestrians and cyclists from today. The full closure of the path, which forms the connection to the intervention area of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 at the railway viaduct, has been lifted.

The continuing park path into the city park had been renovated over a length of around 410 metres since the end of October. The path surface was provided with a water-bound surface layer. The clearance profile of the path, which is also heavily used as a cycle path, was cut free.

The costs for the work, which was carried out by the company Steinbach & Richter GbR from Lichtenau, totalled around 105,000 euros.
