DemenzNetz_C: Networking
Natural persons, legal entities, self-help groups, public, private, non-profit or other organisations can join the DementiaNet_C if they declare their accession by means of a legally binding signature and recognise the guidelines of the DementiaNet_C.
Membership is not tied to a membership fee. However, it is expected that every member represents the interests of dementia patients and actively participates in the network's work.
The admission of new members is discussed in the founding working group and decided in a democratic voting process.
At least one network meeting is held annually for all members of the DementiaNetwork_C.

On 30 March 2022, the 5th network meeting of the members of DementiaNet_C took place in the ballroom of Chemnitz Hospital on Dresdner Straße.
The event began with a review of the various network activities from 2020 and 2021. Among other things, the demand and utilisation of the training courses and dementia counselling were evaluated and a summary of the event on the occasion of World Alzheimer's Day on 6 November 2021 was drawn.
This was followed by an intensive professional exchange with Ms Silke Weiser (Chemnitz Social Welfare Office) on the topic of care law.
On 22 October 2019, the 4th network meeting of the members of the DementiaNetwork_C took place at the SenVital Senior Citizens and Care Centre Chemnitz Niklasberg.
In the first part of the event, the new network partners introduced themselves and were unanimously accepted. The network now has 46 members. They were then given an overview of the various network activities. The results of the dementia counselling and dementia consultation hours, the training series for professionals on the topic of dementia and the World Alzheimer's Day event were presented.
The second part was characterised by the specialist lecture "A ride through care law" by Ms Silke Weiser, head of the local care authority in Chemnitz. She spoke on the topics of care and precautionary measures and used various practical examples to expand on these. The members had the opportunity to discuss details and procedures.

The 3rd meeting of the dementia network partners took place on 23 October 2018 at the Pro Seniore Residenz Chemnitz.
At the beginning, 3 new network partners introduced themselves and were unanimously accepted by the members.
In a professional exchange, the expansion of the cooperation and further synergy effects were discussed and mutual support options on the topic of dementia were discussed. The network's activities were analysed together. The exciting specialist lecture "Psychosocial interventions in dementia" by Prof. Dr Jahn (Chemnitz University of Technology, Chair of Gerontopsychiatry) and the subsequent workshop on "Networking in 2019 - What activities would the network partners like to see" concluded the professional exchange.
As part of the network meeting, participants had the opportunity to view the exhibition "The Sore Point - Dementia Care".
On 8 November 2017, the second annual network meeting of the Dementia Network_C(hemnitz) took place at the solaris FzU gGmbH multigenerational house in Chemnitz.
The founding group invited all network partners to a varied agenda for professional dialogue and to discuss opportunities for further development, which also included a visit to the photo exhibition "Not alone at home with dementia". As part of the network meeting, the network activities of 2017 were analysed and the plans for 2018 were presented.
In addition to the conclusion of the "Local Alliance for People with Dementia in Chemnitz" project, the annual day of action "The Challenge of Dementia in Everyday Life" on the occasion of World Dementia Day was also evaluated. The interesting specialist lecture "Eating and drinking with dementia" by Mr Karl (Office for Health and Prevention of the City of Chemnitz) and information on the "Dementia Partner" campaign rounded off the varied programme.
The first network meeting of the Dementia Network_C(hemnitz) took place on 26 October 2016 in the Chemnitz multi-generational house of soaris FzU gGmbH Sachsen.
The founding group had invited all network partners to the first network meeting to report on the network's activities to date and discuss the expectations of the network partners. The "Living with Dementia" event on the occasion of World Alzheimer's Day was then evaluated and feedback on the event was obtained from the network partners. Information was provided on further network activities for 2017, particularly in the areas of public relations and training programmes, and finally the "Alliance for People with Dementia" project was presented.
