The City of Chemnitz has set itself the goal of providing regular and early information on future public contracts. The majority of contracts awarded by the City of Chemnitz are awarded to companies in the city and the region, meaning that the city administration makes an important contribution to promoting the regional economy.

From now on, companies can send invoices to the City of Chemnitz not only by letter or e-mail but also fully electronically as XRechnung.

4th procurement conference informs about urban projects
Tuesday, 26 August 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Great Hall of the IHK
On Tuesday, 26 August, the City of Chemnitz invited regional companies to the fourth procurement conference in the Great Hall of the Chemnitz Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Straße der Nationen 25. The aim was to provide early and transparent information about planned, ongoing and upcoming construction projects as well as the City of Chemnitz's procurement plans.
Those responsible from the specialist departments - including building construction and facility management, civil engineering, traffic and sewer construction as well as green spaces - were available for discussions and questions. The conference also provided an opportunity for direct dialogue with employees from the central procurement offices on the city's procurement practices.
The procurement conference is organised annually on the initiative of the Economics division.
