European Week of Sport promotes the joy of exercise

Numerous offers and promotions from 23 to 30 September

The European Week of Sport, a broad-based campaign taking place across Europe, begins on Tuesday, 23 September. Until 30 September, numerous sporting and exercise-oriented activities will be offered under the motto #BeActive - including in Chemnitz. The aim is to motivate more people to get moving and discover the joy of sport. Children, young people, adults and older people can take part.

The European Week of Sport was launched by the European Commission and is organised in Germany by the Deutscher Turner-Bund e. V. (German Gymnastics Federation). In Chemnitz, the European Week of Sport is organised by the EU Office and the City of Chemnitz Sports Office, while the City Sports Association has put together the programme.
