In the Botanical Garden's vivarium you can admire a wide variety of amphibians, fish, reptiles, arthropods and insects. The guided tour offers insights into the world of these animals and provides knowledge about their keeping and special features.

How can stationary organisms spread across large parts of the world? What mechanisms do they use and what different strategies have been developed in the course of evolution? Plant expert Jeannette Quegwer explains the dispersal skills of plants.
Blowing away, dragging or simply jumping up are just some of the strategies used to spread. These can be observed on the object and in the grounds of the Botanic Garden.

Saturday and Sunday, 25 and 26 October, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day
Bird show - bird exhibition organised by the Bird Lovers' and Breeders' Association e. V.
Location: Chemnitz Botanical Garden, Leipziger Straße 147, in the main building
Participation: 3 euros per person
Finches, parrots and parakeets will be on display in almost 30 aviaries and showcases.
The breeders will be on hand to provide information about their way of life, breeding and endangerment in the wild. Further information will be provided on display boards and you can also learn a lot about species conservation through breeding in our aviaries.
Children and young people are a particular focus of the event in order to awaken their interest in the world of birds.
