On 9 March 2024, the ice sports centre in Küchwald was officially renamed the "Jutta Müller Ice Sports Centre".

On the occasion of the memorial event for the honorary citizen of Chemnitz, who died on 2 November 2023. The new nameplate, which stands in front of the ice sports centre (at the entrance to Leipziger Straße), was unveiled by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze, Katarina Witt, Gabriele Seyfert and the Managing Director of EFC GmbH, Sascha Brandt, at the memorial event for the honorary citizen of the city of Chemnitz, who died on 2 November 2023.

This was followed by an emotional and dignified ice show in the ice rink, organised by the Chemnitzer Eislauf-Club e. V. (CEC).

The Jutta Müller Ice Sports Centre has a covered ice rink, a 400m outdoor speed skating rink, a training hall, a gymnasium and a roller stadium.

The ice rink has an ice surface of 60x30 metres and is open to the public from October to March. On the 400 metre speed skating rink, skaters can do their fast laps in the open air and enjoy the weather.

In addition to the Chemnitz Crashers (ice hockey), other ice enthusiasts also use the facilities for training and competitions: Chemnitz Ice Skating Club (CEC), Chemnitz University Sports Association Figure Skating Department (USG), Chemnitz Speed Skating Club (ECC) and many more.
