Bernsdorf baths
Summer closing time:
The "Bernsdorfer Bad" indoor swimming pool will be closed to the public from 28 June to 31 August due to maintenance and repair work.
Use for schools, clubs and courses will be possible from 18 to 31 August 2025.
Special opening hours will be offered at the municipal pool for bathers who would like to use an indoor pool during the summer school holidays.

Prepaid cards
The prepaid card can be used for all services. The prerequisite is that the card has sufficient credit. The bonus is only granted for single and family tickets.
On presentation of a prepaid card (topped up with credit), a bonus is granted on single or family tickets with the following scales:

Free admission
for
- Children up to the age of 3, with the exception of baby courses and other offers specially designed for this age group
- One accompanying person for severely disabled persons with mark B or in accordance with §§ 228 and 229 SGB IX.
The accompanying person must have reached the age of 9 and be in a position to take over the supervision due to their personal suitability and to be able to guarantee it in accordance with the local conditions.

* Valid ID cards/entitlement authorisations must be shown at the cash desk without being asked, staff are obliged to check them. School ID cards are recognised until 30 September of the following school year.
Notes:
The "large family ticket" is valid for a maximum of 2 full-paying adults with up to three children who have not yet reached the age of 16. Each additional child and children over the age of 16 pay the reduced admission price for the respective pool on presentation of a school or student ID.
The "small family ticket" is valid for a maximum of 1 full-paying adult with up to three children who have not yet reached the age of 16. Each additional child and children over the age of 16 pay the reduced admission price for the respective pool on presentation of their school or student ID.

Cash value cards with any amount can be purchased directly in the swimming pools or via the sports office and are valid for 3 years. The cash value cards can be redeemed for all services offered in all municipal swimming pools (not the Rabenstein reservoir or golf pool).

Review of the construction process
Construction work on the new Bernsdorf indoor swimming pool began in spring 2022. This was approved by the city council in December 2019 and initial preparatory work on the site was carried out at the beginning of 2020.
The new construction of an indoor swimming pool suitable for competitions with a 25-metre lane was built on the site of the Bernsdorf outdoor pool with associated open space. The competition hall contains the 25-metre sports pool, associated control and storage rooms and can be separated from the leisure hall if required - for example during competitions. The swimming area with teaching pool, 3-metre diving facility with separate pool, children's paddling pool and catering facilities complete the new indoor pool.
