Announcement by the City of Chemnitz on the intended confiscation of a section of a road in accordance with Section 8 of the Road Act for the Free State of Saxony (SächsStrG)

1. road description
Section of the local road "Eckstraße" (inventory sheet no. 235) on the parcels T.v. 242/2 and parcel 24/2, district Schloßchemnitz as a road stump with its location from the river Chemnitz to the public "Hauboldstraße"
2. declaration of intent
The section of road described in more detail under 1. is to be withdrawn over a length of 35 metres on the basis of Section 8 SächsStrG. With the confiscation, the following shall cease to apply
§ 8 (5) SächsStrG public use (§ 14 SächsStrG) and special use (§ 18 SächsStrG).
The confiscation procedure is carried out on the basis of a structural remodelling with the purpose of management as a park. The administrative act is issued on the basis of the resolution passed by the Committee for Urban Development and Mobility on 30 April 2025 with resolution no. B-092/2025.
3. inspection/publication
In accordance with Section 8 (4) of the SächsStrG, the intention to withdraw the road is hereby publicised.
Objections to this can be submitted to the City of Chemnitz within three months.
The parcel map is available for inspection at the Technical Town Hall, Friedensplatz 1, Traffic and Civil Engineering Office, Room A 249, by prior appointment by telephone on 488-7741. In addition, the site plan can be viewed with publication on the website of the City of Chemnitz at www.chemnitz.de/bekanntmachungen.
