Idyllically situated on the southern outskirts of Chemnitz, Klaffenbach moated castle enchants its visitors from the very first moment. Parallel to the Würschnitz river, the entire complex of castle building, hotel, restaurants and craft studios unfolds in the middle of a landscaped park of green meadows, an attractive golf course and popular walking paths.

Founded on the historical, technological and cultural roots of the region, the Klaffenbach moated castle has set itself the task of preserving traditional crafts and handicrafts with changing, themed exhibitions, competitions and projects, while at the same time accompanying them on their way into the modern age and making them accessible to the public. The castle building offers national and international arts and crafts an attractive presentation area on two floors.
