The public transport facilities and underground infrastructure are being built between Dr.-Karl-Wolff-Straße and Dorfblick Straße. The ESC is renewing the sewer and the service pipes. eins energie in sachsen GmbH & Co KG is replacing the power lines, street lighting and the drinking water sewer. On behalf of the City of Chemnitz Traffic and Civil Engineering Department, the carriageway is being thoroughly repaired and the road drainage pipes renewed.
The civil engineering work will begin at the Am Steinberg/Dr.- Karl-Wolff-Straße junction and will continue in sections. The work can only be carried out under full road closure. The contractor, ATS Asphalt-, Tief- und Straßenbau GmbH from Chemnitz, will provide details of waste disposal, access roads and car parks in writing. Pedestrians will be able to pass the construction site safely at all times.
The work should be completed by the end of December. The ESC, the traffic and civil engineering office and eins energie are investing a total of around 986,000 euros.
