Extensive civil engineering work will begin on Lothringer Straße between Annaberger Straße and Elsasser Straße on 18 May.
The wastewater drainage system will be renewed on behalf of the City of Chemnitz's waste disposal company and then the road construction will be realised on behalf of the City of Chemnitz's traffic and civil engineering department.
The section will be fully closed until the construction work is completed on 26 November. Pedestrian traffic will be safely routed past the construction site. Access to neighbouring properties will be ensured with restrictions.
The total construction costs amount to around 1.3 million euros (gross). The contract was awarded to the company Krause & Co Hoch-, Tief- und Anlagenbau
