Chemnitz Day Care Centre Portal
Find a nursery place with just a click of the mouse? This is now possible thanks to the ‘Kita-Portal’ online booking management system.
All childcare centres and home-based childcare providers in Chemnitz – whether run by the local authority or private organisations – can be found on this portal. From the comfort of their own homes, parents can find and select the right centre for themselves and their child, and register there.

The search for the preferred daycare centre can be individually optimised using various search criteria. It is possible to apply for several daycare centres that would also be suitable for the child's care. Enrolment is possible after the birth of the child.
Criteria for the allocation of places
Parents can specify up to 5 preferred centres when requesting a place.
The criteria with the highest priority are the date of registration, the transition from the Rembrandtstraße daycare centre/crèche to the daycare centre, siblings or the securing of places.
The previous time limit for confirmation (6 months before the desired date) by the daycare centre management will be removed in order to ensure that parents receive confirmation of a place in a daycare centre at an early stage.
