Help for mentally ill and addicted people - Social psychiatric service

The multi-professional team of the Social Psychiatric Service (SpDi) is made up of nurses, social workers, psychologists and medical specialists.

The support is primarily intended for chronically mentally ill adults with complex support needs and their relatives. The social psychiatric service is also tasked with coordinating help in the community.

Professionally qualified counselling is also available to people working in psychiatry and those involved in the social environment. In addition to providing concrete help in individual cases, it is important to the staff of the social psychiatric service to promote dialogue and thus raise awareness of the concerns of those affected in their environment.

The counselling and support services include

  • Help for adults with mental health problems, mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses
  • Free and confidential support, anonymously if required
  • Needs-based counselling and support for those affected, relatives and people working in psychiatric and psychiatric-related fields
  • Providing knowledge about the illness and support in coping with it
  • Counselling and support in the selection of suitable outpatient or inpatient treatment options
  • Referral to local support services
  • Support with applications
  • Outreach support
  • Accompaniment to authorities

The SpDi does not provide therapeutic treatment.
