Definitions and criteria for low-barrier and barrier-free housing in the city of Chemnitz
- In principle, all measures for creating accessibility for all types of disability are specified in DIN 18040 Parts 1 and 2.
- The following recommendations are intended to reiterate key points from the perspective of representatives of the various types of disability that enable independent living in one's own home.
- The landlord should always bear in mind that people with disabilities can only use certain communication channels, and contractual partners and service providers must be informed of this.
