When travelling, a baby sometimes needs a quiet place to breastfeed or change nappies. In order to make Chemnitz even more family-friendly and to better support families in their everyday lives, the City of Chemnitz's Children and Youth Officer, Dina Norberger, has dedicated herself to the topic of breastfeeding and nappy-changing facilities. To this end, various establishments were asked whether parents were allowed to breastfeed and/or change their children on site.
The feedback was consistently positive: many providers had no objections to parents using their facilities for this purpose. Families can find a complete overview of all known free breastfeeding and nappy-changing points in the Chemnitz Family App and at www.chemnitz.de/mitbabyunterwegs.
