Traffic is expected to be restricted on Andréstraße until 30 November due to extensive construction work commissioned by the waste disposal company and the City of Chemnitz Traffic and Civil Engineering Department. The sewerage system and road drainage are being renovated.
The Andréstraße/Henriettenstraße junction and the car park in front of the Kreuzkirche church will be affected until the end of July. In the following months, the construction site will be shifted in sections as far as Weststraße. Access to the properties will be
will then only be possible to a limited extent, but they will always be within walking distance.
The total construction costs amount to just under 1.1 million euros. The company Eurovia Verkehrsbau GmbH (Markranstädt) has been commissioned with the construction work.
