The carriageway on Stollberger Straße is being renewed

From 2 June in the section between the Neukirchner Straße roundabout and Meisenweg

From Tuesday, 2 June, road damage will be repaired on Stollberger Straße between Neukirchner Straße and the access road to Meisenweg. The section is expected to be fully closed for around two weeks for this purpose.</p

In addition to renewing the entire width of the carriageway, the two "Johann-Richter-Straße" minibus stops will also be upgraded to make them barrier-free on behalf of the City of Chemnitz's transport and civil engineering department.

As the work can only be carried out with a full road closure, a diversion will be set up via Wladimir-Sagorski-Straße - Südring - Wolgograder Allee. Pedestrians can use the existing footpaths during the construction work. Emergency footpaths will be created for the duration of the bus stop construction.</p

The Südrandsiedlung is largely accessible from the direction of Chemnitz.

Residents will be informed in writing by the construction company in good time about details regarding waste disposal, recycling containers, access roads and parking spaces.

The section is scheduled to be opened to traffic on 17 June 2026.

The transport and civil engineering office has estimated the costs for the resurfacing at 165,000 euros. The contract for the resurfacing was awarded to the company Eiffage Infra - Ost GmbH.</p
