Handball has been actively played in Grüna for over 95 years. The independent handball club, founded in 1990, is part of this tradition. Countless children learnt their first steps in handball here, celebrated successes and felt the team spirit.
The HVG has always been more than just a place to play sport. For many, it became a second home. Many spent more time in the Grüna gymnasium than at home. It was a place where people developed and grew up, where lifelong friendships were formed and people felt at home, where they had fun together and could experience adventures.
Everyone who became part of this big family has taken a few fond memories with them into their lives.
