Youth Day in Chemnitz
12 August is International Youth Day - a global day of action launched by the United Nations to focus on young people and make their voices heard.
This year, International Youth Day will not be celebrated with a central event in Chemnitz, but at several locations in the city. Numerous different formats organised by the city and its youth and cultural institutions invite young people to come together, gather information, get involved and make their issues visible.

#NoHate - Strong against cyberbullying What starts out as harmless fun can quickly become serious: Insults in class chats, nasty comments on Insta or TikTok or spreading embarrassing photos online can hurt and have real consequences. Cyberbullying affects many people and often doesn't stop at a comment. Pavilion of fear What does fear do to us? Fear is an intense feeling that we all know. It can warn us, shake us awake or paralyse us. The Pavilion of Fear, which is travelling through Chemnitz in the run-up to the exhibition Edvard Munch. Angst, which is travelling through Chemnitz in the run-up to the exhibition, we are creating a special place of encounter. We cordially invite anyone who is curious to discover new perspectives and engage in dialogue with other people about this powerful emotion. Bakecreative mini cakes and collect recipes Special cookery club workshop where you have the opportunity to bake your own mini cakes. You can get creative, try out new recipes and collect your own ideas for future cooking programmes - because the cooking club takes place regularly at the B-Plan children's and youth club. Whether you already have experience or are new to baking - everyone is welcome to join in. Come along, bring your friends and create a delicious and inspiring day. 3D printing with a short introductory course in Blender What can you expect? You can choose what you like from templates or create something of your own in Blender, which you can then 3D print.
