On Saturday, 30 May, from 8.55 a.m., youth fire brigades from Chemnitz will compete in the 26th Eubi Cup in Euba. The traditional competition, which was held as the "Chemnitz Fire Cup" in the stadium on Gellertstraße in the 2025 Capital of Culture year, will take place again in 2026 at its original location: at the Euba volunteer fire brigade's equipment centre, Am Lehngut 7.
The event is open to the public and representatives of the media are also invited. The opening ceremony (8.55 am) and the award ceremony (approx. 1 pm) will provide photo opportunities.
The Eubi Cup is organised by the Euba Volunteer Fire Brigade. 22 teams from Chemnitz are expected to take part. The Eubi Cup is an established part of the youth fire brigades' work with young people. Teamwork, speed and firefighting skills take centre stage in the group relay discipline.
The award ceremony is planned for around 1 pm.
