Prevention in a team
This platform brings together a wide range of prevention programmes offered by the city of Chemnitz in the fields of violence and addiction prevention, democracy education, new media and anti-racist education for teachers, independent providers and all interested parties. At the same time, it lists all associations/institutions/organisations that are active in the aforementioned fields of prevention. The aim is to make it easier to find suitable prevention programmes. To expand coordination and harmonisation between schools, independent organisations, the administration and the police and to create continuity in cooperation.
Work on the database is process-orientated. Specialist areas are added on an ongoing basis.

Search for offers:
The website offers a wide range of information on prevention programmes, training courses and materials. The database can be searched for prevention areas and target groups. Please make sure you know exactly what your needs are and what problems you are facing. In this way, offers can be better adapted to your needs.
Submit offers:
Offers can be submitted via the database itself. Please register for this and use the easily accessible form under "Submit new offer". The Chemnitz Prevention Steering Group will check the offer promptly and activate it. Please always indicate whether costs will be incurred.

Working groups
Working groups and working groups in the field of prevention with city participation are integrated into the work of the Prevention Council and supported according to the possibilities of the office. They develop programmes, projects and solution concepts and maintain contact with institutions and social groups working in the field of prevention.
Violence prevention
Domestic violence refers to physical, sexual, psychological and economic violence or acts of violence between people who live together in a household.
The working group meets three times a year and is organised by IKOS Chemnitz - Frauenhilfe Chemnitz e.V..

Addiction prevention
The working group deals with current addiction medicine and addiction policy issues, meets five times a year and is supervised by the addiction coordinator of the city of Chemnitz. Urban security
The target agreement serves to improve cooperation between the partners. The aim is to improve order and safety in the city of Chemnitz.
Security conferences
The CPR office organises safety conferences at least twice a year to review the effectiveness of the target agreement. The objectives are Problem-oriented, small-scale cooperation between all stakeholders and institutions in the neighbourhood, investigation of the local safety culture, development of conflict management, promotion of commitment and responsibility.
Sport and safety
The working group meets as required and deals with the security situation at sporting events.
Child and youth protection in sport
Materials on this topic are currently being developed. The contact person is the Chemnitz City Sports Association.
