Stage 1 of the car park plan has been implemented
Since 1 June 2021: Level 1, with Zones A, B and F in force
In Level 1 areas (zones A, B and F, as shown on the map), a general parking charge applies in accordance with the City of Chemnitz’s parking charges regulations. Residents holding a valid resident parking permit are exempt from this charge.
From 1 June, zones A, B and F will be managed, i.e. subject to charges. At the same time, the new resident parking zones A, B and F will be put into operation and new resident parking permits will be issued for them. The resident parking permit can be issued if:
- Applicants are officially registered as having their main or secondary residence in the designated area,
- have a vehicle registered in their name or can prove that they permanently use another person's vehicle and
- is in possession of a valid driving licence.
The application form must be completed and the required evidence provided.

The application forms can be accessed via www.chemnitz.de/bewohnerparkausweis. There you will find further information on the application process and the costs involved. You can also submit your application directly online via this site.
Please email your applications to bewohnerparkausweis(at)stadt-chemnitz.de. Applications can only be processed if they bear a handwritten or electronic signature and are accompanied by all the required documents.
Applications may also be submitted by post. The postal address is: City of Chemnitz, Transport and Civil Engineering Office, Friedensplatz 1, 09111 Chemnitz. Parking permits will be sent exclusively by post.

In-person visits are only possible by appointment, which must be arranged by email (bewohnerparkausweis(at)stadt-chemnitz.de), by telephone via the D 115 service hotline, or via the City of Chemnitz’s online appointment portal.
