Laying of the Stumbling Stones on 6 July 2007
In the presence of Mayor Barbara Ludwig, seven Stumbling Stones were laid at three locations in Chemnitz on 3 July 2007:
Hohe Straße 9 (today: footpath towards Reichsstraße, opposite house no. 6a, 6b) | The Benjamin family was murdered in the Auschwitz concentration camp in October 1944 Kurt Benjamin, Alice Dorothea Benjamin, Lutz Leo Benjamin, Hanna Benjamin |
Zschopauer Straße 74 | Zita Sonder, murdered in Auschwitz concentration camp in 1943 Ludwig Motulski, murdered in 1942 in Belzec concentration camp |
Street of Nations 56, Footpath in front of Hotel an der Oper | Paul Fischer, murdered on 6 February 1933 by the SA in front of the Hansa House |
