Important regulations:

  • Entering areas outside marked or designated roads or paths is prohibited.
  • The ban does not apply to emergency services (e.g. police, fire brigade, rescue service), property owners and their authorised representatives.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead in the area of application without exception.
  • The City of Chemnitz can approve exceptions on request, provided there is no danger to the contrary.

Background:

In recent weeks, glass containers with chemicals have been found in the affected area. To minimise potential risks, these areas have been closed as a precautionary measure. The measure serves to protect the population, as the presence of similar objects in areas of the designated area that have not been investigated cannot be ruled out.
