NetzwerkPflege_C: Networking
NetzwerkPflege_C(hemnitz) was founded on 1 July 2009 as part of the "Networked care advice" pilot project as a Saxon alternative to the care support centres. The aim was to further develop the nursing care structure in such a way that a far-reaching and structured linking of all providers and services active in the field of nursing, care, support and counselling could be achieved in order to provide local and customised help for people in need of support.
To this end, stakeholders from the care insurance funds, the social welfare office, other authorities, public, independent and private organisations and services have joined the NetzwerkPflege_C.
The Care Coordination Office in the Local Care Authority, Social Services for Adults department of the Social Welfare Office is responsible for organising the Care_C network. The coordination centre is the point of contact for all matters concerning the network partners, the admission of new network partners, the initiation of network conferences and the provision of information to members.

Become a member
The NetzwerkPflege_C(hemnitz) can be joined by natural persons, legal entities, self-help groups, public, private, non-profit or other organisations who declare their membership by means of a legally binding signature on a declaration of membership (link) and recognise the guidelines of the NetzwerkPflege_C (link). Membership is not tied to a membership fee. However, it is expected that every member represents the interests of people in need of care and actively participates in the network's work.The admission of new members is discussed in the founding working group and decided in a democratic voting process.
As a rule, an annual network conference is held with the partners of the NetzwerkPflege_C network. At this event, information is provided on new specialist topics relevant to care, developments and legislation, and the network’s activities are reviewed.
Network Conference 2026
On 20 May 2026, the 19th Network Conference took place in the ballroom of Chemnitz Hospital, Dresdner Straße site. Over 70 participants attended to learn about the following topics:
- Latest news from the network and the nursing care insurance funds – Nursing Care Coordination, the City of Chemnitz and Claudia Schöne, AOK Plus
- Latest updates on the State Dementia Plan, including key activities – Lydia Matthus, Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs, Health and Social Cohesion
- ‘Focus – Future – Care’ – Tackling challenges in light of the Act on the Extension of Powers and the Reduction of Bureaucracy in Care (BEEP) – Stefan Vogler and Frank Zwinscher, Board Members of the Saxony Regional Group of bpa.Bundesverband privater Anbieter sozialer Dienste e. V.

Network Conference 2025
On Wednesday, 14 May 2025, the 18th Network Conference of NetzwerkPflege_C took place in the ballroom of Chemnitz Hospital on the Dresdner Straße site. Around 70 participants discussed a wide range of topics.
Claudia Schöne from AOK PLUS gave a presentation on current issues in the care sector, such as the increase in care benefit payments.
The overarching theme was telematics infrastructure. Dr Christian Uebach from Münster joined the participants via video link to present the electronic healthcare professionals’ register (eGBR) and the associated application process.
This was followed by a presentation on the practical implementation of the telematics infrastructure, delivered by Susann Wagenblaß.
Thomas Haink then spoke about the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation in outpatient care.
Dr Jan Anastassis Skuras also examined the topic of care for the elderly in the digital age in greater detail.
After the lunch break, the topics covered were explored in greater depth in workshops.

A collaboration between the German Association of Managers of Care Homes for the Elderly and People with Disabilities e. V. (DVLAB), the Saxony regional working group of the Federal Association of Senior Care Staff (BALK e.V.) and the Chemnitz City Social Services Department, the first ‘Leitungsstammtisch Pflege’ (Care Managers’ Regulars’ Table) was launched in Chemnitz on 9 September 2010. Since then, the get-together has taken place every second Wednesday in January, March, May, July, September and November from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
The care coordinators invite participants to the get-together and provide information on the topics to be discussed. Afterwards, all interested managers and specialist staff can engage in an open exchange of experiences.
Based on the principle of ‘best practice’, there is an active exchange among participants to discuss current issues and find possible solutions. In this way, everyone can benefit from one another and continue to work together towards uniform standards that contribute to the well-being of residents, clients and patients.
