Long Night of Education in and outside the Town Hall

Invitation: 25 September, from 4 pm to 8 pm

On Friday 25 September, from 4 pm to 8 pm, pupils from Year 7 upwards and their families can find out about the training and study opportunities available in the city of Chemnitz at the ‘Long Night of Training’ at the Town Hall, Markt 1.

Outside the Town Hall, the fire service, the ambulance service and the city’s public order service will demonstrate the demands of their day-to-day work. Inside the Town Hall, staff from various departments will be presenting their professions across two floors.

The wide range of career paths available with the City of Chemnitz will be showcased – from administrative roles to the ambulance service and the fire brigade, as well as specialist staff for swimming pool facilities. Trainees and staff will be on hand to answer questions and engage in one-to-one discussions.

The Long Night of Apprenticeships is an initiative of the Industrieverein Sachsen 1828 e.V., offering practical insights into apprenticeship and study opportunities through hands-on activities and discussions with apprentices. Shuttle bus services connecting the participating companies will also be available. Registration at www.check-deine-zukunft.de is required for these services and for some of the participating companies. No registration is required to visit the City of Chemnitz at the Town Hall.

Full details of the City of Chemnitz’s apprenticeship and study opportunities, as well as the application portal, can be found at www.chemnitz.de/ausbildung.
