Graffiti artists have redesigned the corridors in the neonatal intensive care unit (neonatology) at the Flemmingstrasse 4 paediatric and adolescent medicine clinic.

In order to make this special place more pleasant for the smallest patients, their parents and the hospital team, the neonatal intensive care unit has been given a visual makeover in recent weeks.

Thanks to sponsorship from Niners Chemnitz and Lukas Stern e. V., an artistic graffiti project has been realised that gives the corridor areas a new, warm atmosphere. Pictures of animal children such as a fawn, a raccoon, a sparrow and a hedgehog were created in a natural setting. This colourful wall art creates an environment that provides calm and strength in emotionally turbulent times.

The project noticeably increases the quality of stay and focusses on well-being in addition to medical care.
