The association Seniorpartner in School Landesverband Sachsen e. V. (SiS) is looking for more volunteer mediators
and mediators for primary schools in Chemnitz. The charitable organisation is running a training course for school mediators in Dresden from 12 August to 10 October, with sessions taking place on three days each week. The programme is aimed at senior citizens aged 55 and over who would like to help pupils resolve their everyday conflicts peacefully.

Seniorpartner in School Landesverband Sachsen e. V. (SiS) currently has 65 active members in Saxony, who are involved in 26 primary schools. In 2025, they supported around 4,400 pupils in dealing with their everyday conflicts. Around 2,100 discussions were held for this purpose. The most common issues addressed were insults, teasing and threats, as well as relationship problems and physical assaults.
