Discussing future European Capitals of Culture

Guests from politics, culture and society discussed cohesion, EU enlargement and the role of the European Capitals of Culture at the City of Chemnitz's European reception on Monday.

In the Hartmannfabrik, the focus was on Latvia's experiences in the EU and how European topics can be made visible locally.</p

Representatives from Liepaja (Latvia, European Capital of Culture 2027), Nikšić (Montenegro, European Capital of Culture 2030) and Chemnitz spoke about how culture creates international networks and connects people. Musical and dance performances from Latvia and Montenegro also brought the diversity of Europe to life artistically.
