With the world premiere of the Wismut opera "Rummelplatz", Chemnitz Opera House staged a work created especially for the Capital of Culture year. The adaptation of Werner Bräunig's novel tells an impressive story of hard labour in uranium mining, the dreariness of the post-war period and the hopes of the people.
