Independent youth welfare organisations are eligible to apply.

The grant is awarded to independent youth welfare organisations for participation in child and youth recreation measures in Germany or other European countries during the school holidays (no training or trial camps). The minimum duration of the trip must be 4 days (3 overnight stays). The grant per participant is awarded for a maximum of 15 days per year.

The organiser must be a recognised youth welfare organisation.

The organisers are eligible for funding for children and young people aged between 7 and 18 (from 6 years old if they are already schoolchildren) or 21 years old if they receive benefits under SGB II or SGB XII to secure their livelihood. The permanent residence is in Chemnitz.

The provider is generally based in Chemnitz. Offers from other organisations based in Saxony can be funded if they are recognised as independent youth welfare organisations and have concluded an agreement with the City of Chemnitz on the protection mandate in the event of child endangerment in accordance with Section 8a SGB VIII.

For participants from the city of Chemnitz, a subsidy of 10 euros per day and participant can be granted. For participants with a Chemnitzpass or Chemnitzpass K, the organiser can apply for a further 15 euros per day and participant, whereby the funding recipient must bear a minimum own contribution of 10% of the travel costs.
